General Analysis

DSPCon’s general analysis software bundle provides a broad spectrum of analytical tools for general, dynamic-signal analysis applications. Incorporating a variety of high-performance processors that provide calculation and display of critical results used in a variety of engineering and scientific disciplines, this comprehensive software bundle includes a Narrowband post-processor to provide interactive and batch single-channel Fourier-Transform-based analysis; a Cross-Channel post-processor that provides interactive and batch two-channel Fourier-Transform-based analysis; a Time Domain Analyzer (a.k.a., "Filter-Integrate-Differentiate Analyzer") that performs digitally-synthesized filtering on one or more time history files, then processes and displays the data in the time domain; an Overlay & Concatenation utility to further reduce data that has been analyzed by other DSPCon post-processing software; and a Data Resampler that decimates and interpolates any signal, and can be used to match sample rates between two files. All of the processors analyze data stored in public-domain-format CATS and DATX files and offer outputs in graphical form (screen/hard-copy and electronic/JPEG), result files in CATS, spreadsheet (.CSV) and SDRC Universal (Type 58) formats, and a statistics file that contains critical parameters from the input and calculated results.

Narrowband

Our Narrowband Analyzer analyzes CATS or DATX time history files. It determines the measured spectral-response in terms of Power Spectral Density (PSD), Auto Spectra and Fourier Magnitude using Fourier Transform. Fast Fourier Transforms (FFTs) of up to 128K points are employed for high-speed analysis and arbitrary-block-size transforms to provide flexibility in spectral resolution.

Cross-channel

The Cross-channel Analyzer analyzes CATS or DATX time history files. It determines the measured spectral-response of a reference channel, an analysis channel, and their auto- and cross-channel properties. Fast Fourier Transforms (FFTs) of up to 128K points are employed for high-speed analysis and arbitrary-block-size transforms to provide flexibility in spectral resolution.

Time Domain

The Time Domain Analyzer performs digitally synthesized filtering on one or more time history files, then processes and displays the data in the time domain. The application performs Time Series, Integrated or Differentiated processing, and its advanced processing features can be used to perform single or double integration and differentiation.

Overlay and Concatenation

DSPCon’s Overlay and Concatenation utility is an analysis and display processor used to overlay the spectral results from several channels and/or tests. Up to four spectral responses for any channel from any test, using any analysis process, can be overlaid.

Data Resampler

The Data Resampler is a comprehensive tool for decimating and interpolating any signal. It can be used to match sample rates between two files. Data resampled from one or more DATX or CATS input files is output in DATX format. The Resampler has a straightforward user interface that makes it simple to select channels and processing parameters. The core of the Resampler is its Finite Impulse Response (FIR) filter design program that matches the specifications of the up-sample and down-sample ratios to produce the maximum bandwidth signal without creating any aliased components.
